Dec 22 I am almost done with capturing the screen shots of the waveforms of the drum mic placement comparisons. Should have the post up next week.

Sorry for the delay but I will be doing the recording for the samples for comparing various drum mic placements of a variety of drums next week.

Another upcoming post will be a video to guide to soldering. I know there a some YouTube videos about this but I have seen more bad techniques then good. The video will cover different connectors and different wire splicing techniques.

John Wilkinson has been utilizing and sharpening his expertise in the AV industry for the past 20 plus years.  As a teenager he began audio editing on quarter inch reel to reel under the tutelage of his father who worked at CBC Calgary.  He also volunteered at his church and several others teaching sound board techniques.
