What’s your view on the same company providing both consultation and installation?
The short answer is I would recommend using the same for both.
But maybe i should also answer why.
I will start by saying if you already have a good relationship with a company who looks after your needs with your sound system then keep them. As I have written previously they know your system and needs the best. They will help make sure your new system will suit your needs. Changing providers just because is not a good reason to change.
If you are looking for a company and the church board requires multiple bidders then I would suggest asking for a sample tender. Then select a provider who can work closely with you providing the role of consultant and installer.
Make sure you are comparing the same equipment with each vendor and not just going with the cheapest price.
Another reason I would recommend not using a independent consultant is the install company would end up replicating most of the work a consultant would do. So why pay twice for something?
